Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the new throwback side-scrolling beat-’em-up from Tribute Games and Dotemu, has added two more cosmic warriors to the playable roster: Beta Ray Bill, the best Thor, and Silver Surfer, the Norrin Radd version who does not appear in Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Those two powerful newcomers join previously revealed Marvel heroes like Captain America, She-Hulk, Spider-Man, and Wolverine in Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
Beta Ray Bill (aka Beta Ray Thor) is the horse-faced cybernetic alternative to classic Thor. Hailing from the planet Korbinite, Bill wields the powerful hammer Stormbreaker in battle. First introduced in the pages of The Mighty Thor No. 337 and created by title defining Thor writer-artist Walt Simonson, Bill once wielded the mighty Mjolnir itself.
Joining Beta Ray Bill in the latest look at Marvel Cosmic Invasion is the Silver Surfer, who wields the Power Cosmic and his trusty surfboard to wail on Annihilus’ army of space bugs.
At San Diego Comic-Con, the creators of Marvel Cosmic Invasion revealed new details on the game’s voice cast, which includes:
- Brian Bloom as Captain America and Silver Surfer
- Steve Blum as Venom and Beta Ray Bill
- Trevor Devall as Rocket Raccoon
- Cal Dodd as Wolverine
- Josh Keaton as Spider-Man
- Matt Mercer as Nova and Annihilus
- Aileen Mythen as Phyla-Vell
- Elysia Rotaru as She-Hulk
- Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is bound for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X sometime later this year.
