GOG has announced more titles for its Game Preservation Program, with the first four Devil May Cry games headlining the new arrivals. This announcement was made on the 10th anniversary of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, and all four games are now available to purchase.
Devil May Cry 1-3 will be available as part of the Devil May Cry HD Collection, and like other games sold by GOG, these will be DRM-free versions that have been fully optimized for modern systems. The improvements here include stability tweaks, compatibility with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, and support for cloud saves.
- Devil May Cry: HD Collection — $9.89 (
$30) - Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition — $7.49 (
$25)
While the middle chapter of the Devil May Cry trilogy is a bit of a letdown, the first and third games in this collection are still considered to be series highlights. Devil May Cry established the franchise formula with its stylish combat and nearly unstoppable protagonist Dante, while Devil May Cry 3 fleshed out the lore of the series and properly introduced Dante’s brother Vergil, who has become a fan-favorite character over the years.
