Good morning, Destructoid! It’s that time of the week again where we discuss our plans for the upcoming weekend and share games we are looking to complete, start for the first time, or whatever other excuse we can find.
This week is a bit of a weird one, as while there have been a lot of cool games released the past few weeks, there haven’t been any standouts, at least in my opinion.
Well, save one.
PEAK is a game I happened to come across and have been enjoying, but I’m finding it hard to keep playing solo and without friends. I feel like I’m missing out on the best experience the game has. Granted, if you have friends and want to play a fun indie game, I definitely recommend picking this one up if you have the time.
I’ve also kind of fallen off with Mario Kart World after playing it to death the past few weeks. The structure of the game is kindof bumming me out, and I want more variety in a future update. Maybe in the form of more random and varied Knockout Tours, rather than playing the same courses over and over again. If you can play VS. races in any direction, why not Knockout Tour?
There are also games like REMATCH that appear fun but aren’t my cup of tea. Oh, and we also have the indie MMORPG Bitcraft launching on Saturday, but I’m not sure if it’s worth anyone’s time after the lackluster beta I played during Steam Games Fest.
Realistically, it feels like I’m passing the time until next weekend, when we have the new Palworld update, Death Stranding 2 launching, and Pokémon Go Fest, all happening in the same window. So for now, I’d love to hear your own suggestions in the comments below on what you plan to pick up and play, so I can find something to do if I run out of options.
