Virtual reality headsets were once fanciful technology seen in sci-fi movies, but these days, that hardware is both affordable and surprisingly powerful. For Prime Day, you can get a discount on what many consider to be the best consumer-grade VR headset, the Meta Quest 3S. The standard 128GB model is on sale for $250 (normally $300), while the 256GB model is down to $330 (was $400). Prime Day 2025 runs from July 8-11, so you only have a few days to cash in on this deal.
Meta Quest 3S 128GB
$250 (was $300)
The Quest 3S is a lightweight, standalone VR headset that doesn’t require an external gaming console or PC. It’s strong enough to play a wide range of VR games directly on the headset’s internal hardware, and can cloud stream games via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. However, you can also connect the headset to a PC and play even more demanding titles, too.
The Quest 3S is a modified version of the more expensive Quest 3–their internal hardware aspects are identical and both feature the same wireless Touch Plus controllers, but the Meta Quest 3 features better lenses, resulting in a larger and clearer image, but the Quest 3S still looks great. The Quest 3S also features a 2.5-hour battery life on a full charge, full-color passthrough viewing mode, and comes bundled with a three-month trial of Meta Horizon+, which offers a library of 30 games.
Meta Quest 3S 256GB (includes Batman: Arkham Shadow)
$330 (was $400)
If you want to grab the Quest 3S with increased storage capacity of 256GB, you’ll also get the same Meta Horizon Plus trial and the excellent Batman: Arkham Shadow, an action game that faithfully recreates the experience of being the Caped Crusader in VR.
Meta Quest Elite Strap
$56 (was $70)
You’ll also want to pick up a few accessories for the Quest 3S if you decide to purchase it. The default strap on it is admittedly not the best, but you can easily fix that with the Quest Elite strap. This has a better texture and design, and while it’s normally $70, it’s on sale for $56.
Meta Quest Elite Strap with Battery
$104 (was $130)
The Elite Quest Strap with Battery is also a very good deal, as this equips the headset with some extra power. The battery is surprisingly lightweight for its design, and it sits at the rear of the headset to keep things balanced, adding around two more hours of playtime on a full charge. Normally $130, this is on sale for $104 during Prime Day.
Meta Quest Link Cable
$64 (was $80)
Finally, you can also pick up the Meta Quest Link Cable and use it to connect your headset to your PC and its gaming library. While you can connect the Quest 3S to your PC wirelessly with the Air Link feature, the cable is nice to have as it make certain that there’s less latency in your games.
It’s also worth noting that an Xbox-branded version of the Quest 3S also recently launched as is still in stock. While it’s not included in Amazon’s Prime day sale, it’s still worth considering since it includes several extra accessories you won’t find in the above standard edition bundles. The $400 special edition headset features a new black and green color scheme, but is otherwise the same as the standard 128GB Quest 3S model. It also includes the Touch Plus controllers, a special edition Xbox Wireless Controller, the Quest 3S Elite Strap accessory, and three-month subscriptions for Game Pass Ultimate and Meta Horizon+.
