EA is trying its hand again at a Battlefield-themed battle royale mode, it seems. As part of the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal event today, the company strongly teased the revival of the Firestorm mode from Battlefield V.
A teaser video showed soldiers scattering through a tropical location as the camera panned backwards to a massive firestorm spreading down a mountain toward them. The developers never mentioned battle royale or Firestorm by name, but the suggestion is quite obvious. In any event, whatever this is, fans will get to try it first in the Battlefield Labs testing program.
EA’s hosts at the event alluded to the mode being called Firestorm, but stopped short of confirming this.
