Killing Floor 3‘s customization options hit their peak with the skills system that you can unlock for all builds, and doing so will help you to play better.

All Perks in the game come with three separate types of skills to unlock. You can earn Proficiency points to do so, but they are limited in quantity. In simple words, you can’t have unlimited skills for any Perk, so it becomes essential to invest appropriately.

All six builds improve significantly when you use the correct skills.

Medic

The role of a Medic is simple: heal your allies and dish out as much supporting damage as possible.

  • Doctor’s Bag: More syringes, so more healing.
  • Symbiosis: Get self-healing when you damage enemies or heal your allies.
  • Resuscitator: Sactum Field explosion revives all allies that are down, and helps recover a part of their health.
  • Capacity Increase: Improves the amount of consumables you can carry.

Commando

The Commando is a jack-of-all-trades character, but you’ll get the biggest benefits by improving the amount of damage he can do.

  • Fire Sale: Improves the max ammo capacity, which is extremely important for every gun the Commando uses.
  • Not Dead Yet: Lets you survive fatal attacks, and you can reduce the cooldown by eliminating more zeds.
  • Boom Cycle: Doubles the projectile capacity of your drone, which improves its utility.
  • Capacity Increase: Increases the number of throwables you can carry.

Firebug

The Firebug has plenty of ways to deal heat damage to enemies.

  • Too Hot to Handle: Counterattack a zed and apply burn if it gets too close.
  • Explosive Reaction: Enemies can explode upon being killed by Heat weapons and do damage to surrounding zeds.
  • Hotfoot: Use fire on the ground from Heat weapons to heal yourself.
  • Capacity Increase: Raises the number of throwables you can carry.

Ninja

The Ninja Perk is really interesting due to its reliance on melee damage, but it has some amazing skills to make up for the lack of guns.

  • Yoroi: Raises maximum armor and reduces lost stamina while blocking attacks.
  • Unyielding: Zed eliminations with melee weapons apply heals and raise damage.
  • Capacity Increase: Raises the number of throwables you can carry.
  • Violent Finisher: Raises the Hebi-Ken’s damage based on zeds killed by it.

Sharpshooter

The Sharpshooter, when played right, can dish out devastating amounts of damage.

  • Hunter: Reduces spread penalty while walking.
  • Rack’Em Up: Hit critical spots of zeds to get stacks of increased weapon damage.
  • Capacity Increase: Raises the number of throwables you can carry.
  • Bloodsucker: Get self-healing by hitting the enemies with your arrow.

Engineer

The Engineer is a hybrid Perk that can play as both a support and a DPS.

  • Tool Up: Gets stacks from zed eliminations, which fill one tool ammo after reaching a certain point.
  • Rally Beacon: Generate Rally with zed eliminations. Creates a beacon when the stack reaches 24, and all allies within its radius will have increased damage.
  • Reverb Pedal: Makes the Sonic Storm even more potent with AOE damage.
  • Capacity Increase: Raises the number of throwables you can carry.

While the skills above are among the best possible options for the respective Perks, you can follow your own choices. Ultimately, every Perk is best played according to your playstyle, and it’s essential to have fun as well.
