Cyberpunk 2077’s next big update, 2.3, is not going to launch on time. Developer CD Projekt Red has announced that the studio needs “some more time to make sure we’re happy with it.” It was previously set to launch on June 26 but has been delayed indefinitely.
The developer also teased that update 2.3 is aiming to have a scope around the same as the 2.2 update. That’s saying something, as the 2.2 update–released in December 2024–was a huge one. “We appreciate your patience!” the developer said.
Hey chooms,
We initially hoped to put Update 2.3 in your hands on June 26. However, we’ll need some more time to make sure we’re happy with it — we’re aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2. We’ll update you further as soon as we can!

Most people thought CD Projekt Red was finished supporting Cyberpunk 2077 and shifting its teams to Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher 4, but in early June, the Polish studio confirmed the 2.3 update. As of yet, however, there is no word on what’s included in the 2.3 update.
