In Vampire Survivors, evolving weapons is the primary way to ensure your power is at an absolute peak, enabling you to steamroll any and all swarms of enemies the game throws at you.

But doing so is not always clear, nor easy for that matter. Ammo Appalate is one of the rarest and most challenging weapons to obtain in the game, and evolving it can be a bit confusing at first. If you happen to be stuck at the base version of this weapon, here’s what you need to do.

To evolve the weapon you’ll first need to unlock it. It’s one of the most challenging weapons to obtain in the game, requiring you to kill 251,096 ranged (shooting) enemies. Once you have done so, you will have cleared a special achievement tied to this very weapon and get a chance to see it in runs.

Once you have the weapon unlocked, you’ll want to combine it with the Bracer, focusing on getting both the Bracer and Ammo Appalate to maximum level, which will then evolve the latter into Gunastrophe. Obtaining this evolution will in turn also unlock Zi’Appunta Belpaese, who starts with the Ammo Appalate weapon, which can then be evolved much more easily.

She costs 6,500 gold to obtain after unlocking.
