Daisy was given a few tricky riddles to solve by Nora, but they’re too much for her to tackle alone, so it’s up to you to help in Tales of the Shire. One of the puzzles she asks for assistance with is Nora’s Riddles: The Water that Roars.
This quest tasks you with finding one small, specific area around the vast Shire. The riddle gives you a slight hint for where to look, but it’s not really enough to go on when there’s such a large region to explore. If you’re unsure how to get this one done, here’s how to solve Nora’s Riddles: The Water that Roars in Tales of the Shire.

Nora’s The Water that Roars riddle solution in Tales of the Shire

To solve the second riddle Daisy presents you with from Nora, you need to venture to a roaring waterfall located deep in the heart of the forest. There’s water all around Bywater, so finding the right spot for this task is quite tricky.
You’re given this riddle right after finishing Nora’s Riddles: Eye of the Lake for Daisy, so you should have a bit of an idea how this process works. All you have to go off is the clue Daisy gives you, which is “In the heart of the forest, it calls. Where the river doesn’t run, it falls. Where the water doesn’t babble, it roars.”
The solution to this riddle is a forest waterfall. The forest encompasses a lot of Bywater, though, so locating the waterfall you need to interact with for this tale is quite a daunting task.
In the heart of the forest, it calls location in Tales of the Shire

The waterfall you need to find for the “In the heart of the forest, it calls. Where the river doesn’t run, it falls. Where the water doesn’t babble, it roars” riddle is located near the very southeast corner of Bywater, deep in the forest. It’s the very corner of the map in this area, so when you’re at this spot, you can’t venture any further.
This waterfall is decently close to The Forest marker and Deplhinium’s tree, so if you know how to reach either of these spots, you should be able to reach the right area for this quest pretty easily. The forest is a pretty tricky region to navigate, though, so if you’re having trouble finding the right spot for this task, here’s a full breakdown of how to reach the right area.
- Start by standing near the mailbox at your home near the west end of Bywater.
- Walk out of your front gate, then immediately make a sharp right.
- Continue along the path until you reach a signpost. At this post, turn right and go across the small stone bridge.
- Head straight down the path until you reach a fork in the road. When you do, head up the left pathway to continue your journey.
- Stick to the path as it curves slightly left near Willow’s Workshop and continue forward.
- Proceed over the short white bridge to exit Willow’s Workshop area and enter the forest.
- Walk straight up to the many chopped-down trees and logs, then make a left when you’re close to the twisted one right in the middle.
- After walking down the ramp, make a sharp right and walk up the stone pathway.
- Proceed straight through the overgrown hobbit house until you reach the back of it.
- Once you’re at the back end of the house, exit through the open archway on the right side.
- Turn left and proceed up the ramp to venture deeper into the forest.
- Continue straight under the bottom of the overgrown tree.
- Turn slightly right to walk down the hill.
- Turn left and head toward the wooden bridge blocked by a white gate.
- Approach the roaring waterfall near the bridge and interact with the sparkles on the ground near it to summon Daisy and complete this tale.
There’s still plenty more work to get done around the Shire. If you’re not sure what to do next, you might work on meeting all townsfolk, retrieving Nefi’s tongs from the tunnel, and increasing your Fellowship.
