Survival Kids, a Switch 2 launch game, will support three-player co-op with just one copy of the game, and Switch 1 owners can even join in.
Though its announcement was slightly botched during the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct due to the livestream freezing up shortly after its trailer began to air (something that, judging from YouTube comments, the internet will never forget or forgive), Survival Kids is a Switch 2-exclusive revival of an old Konami franchise developed by Unity. It’s a co-op survival adventure game where a group of kids find themselves stranded on a deserted island and have to craft and solve puzzles to survive.
While the game’s announcement trailer shows four-player co-op, as spotlighted by GameFile, Survival Kids also allows for three player local co-op via a single copy of the game thanks to the Switch 2’s GameShare feature.
