Madden NFL 26 is coming soon. Like clockwork, it arrives every August, just before the league itself dives headfirst into a new season. This fall, it’ll be the Philadelphia Eagles defending their championship for the second time since 2018, and to perhaps no one’s surprise, their star running back, Saquon Barkley, will grace the cover of Madden NFL 26, for both the game’s standard and Ultimate editions.

Barkley’s pose on the standard cover is a re-enactment of his famous backward-hurdle move he performed during last season. The dazzling display was quickly brought to life inside Madden 25, and will, of course, return for Madden 26. On the Ultimate Edition cover, a close-up of the Eagles star can be seen.

Last season, Saquon Barkley became the ninth player in NFL history to rush for 2,000 or more yards, and the first since Derrick Henry did so in 2020. He also notched 13 rushing touchdowns and added 33 catches. He was virtually unstoppable for most of the season, and though he had a quiet game in the Super Bowl, it didn’t prove to matter as the Eagles breezily handled the Chiefs for the franchise’s second-ever league championship.
