Anime Stars TD has an elemental unit system like many Roblox TD games so the best units depend on what mode you’re going into and what element of units you need. Below I’ll outline the overall best units in terms of DPS, burst damage and support and explain which one is the best for each element and mode. Here’s my Anime Stars Tower Defense tier list and guide.

Anime Stars TD Tier List
This Anime Stars Tower Defense tier list will discuss the best damage characters for each element and the best supports. While I’ve tested them mainly through Infinite, these rankings are more or less true for all modes. I’ll also recommend some beginner units and highlight the late game ones as we go through the more detailed list below. Also, if a unit has a particular way to unlock it I’ll highlight it but note that most are just evolutions that you have to grind specific items for.
Element Mechanic: I’ll highlight top 3 to 5 units for each element below. Note that if the unit’s element is not equal to the element of the enemy they’ll deal 50% less damage.
How to Get All Special Units: I’ll include the unlock method for special units below.
Meta Anime TD Units

• Arguably the best unit in Anime Star TD so rush/grind evo materials • Best sustained DPS among Mythics and Secrets • Must-have for Infinite in my opinion • Meta Water unit • How to Get: Get and evolve base Shadow Monarch from Rifts Drop/Shop |
 Darou (Galaxy) |
• Serves as both DPS and a bit of support so Garou (Cosmic) is incredibly useful and flexibile in any team • In the top 3 units for Infinite • Meta Nature unit • How to Get: Get and evolve base Garou from Raid Shop/Planet Raid Drop > Bandaged > Monster > Galaxy/Cosmic |
 Gageto |
• Best nuker unit in Anime Stars TD (even better burst damage than Shadow Monarch evo) • Top 3 unit for Infinite • Meta Fire unit • How to Get: Evolve either Roku (Super) or Veggie (Super) but you need the other one as evo material. |
 Shadow Commander |
• I think Shadow Commander is the second best sustained DPS unit outdamaging Darou and definitely Gageto • In the top 5 units for Infinite just after Elf Mage/Frieren • Meta Fire unit with Gageto being for burst and Igris for sustained damage • How to Get: Evolve the base Blood Commander which you get via Igris Mission/Double Dungeon Legend Stage Act 3 or Challenge (Near Index) |
 Sumaki |
• Tatsumaki probably isn’t Meta and I’m highballing her but I’ve used her so much to great success in all modes • She’s got some of the best damage for Mythics and is only behind in DPS after the four Secrets above • Great Nature unit to bring if you don’t have Elf Mage or Brawly • Probably the best starter in the game |

• A must-have unit in any build for farming (Only farm unit) |
S-Tier Anime TD Units

• Even the base version of Shadow Monarch is great as a filler top-tier Water DPS • How to Get: See evolved Shadow Monarch |
 Demon Shanro |
• Definitely in the top 10 best DPS units in the game • Third best Fire damage unit after Gogeta and Igris evo • Really good for Infinite if you don’t have Secret units • How to Get: Evolve Legendary Shanro |
 Harrybel |
• One of the best beginner units in the game • Meta Water units with excellent DPS just behind Shadow Monarch |
 Darou (Monster) |
• Deals really good damage for a Mythic • A great option if you need Nature DPS units • How to Get: See Cosmic Darou above |
 Brawly |
• One of the best nukers in the game being only behind the Secrets • Similar to Gageto/Gogeta but slightly lower burst damage • Still one of the best Fire units • How to Get: Reach Level 50 in the Battle Pass |
  Roku (Super) & Veggie (Super) |
• Two bros chillin’ and they fill the same role • Meta Fire damage units and both are great nukers • Both are great for beginners • How to Get: Evolve Rare Veggie and Roku |
 Gohun (Beast) |
• Similar to Roku and Veggie in terms of nuke/burst damage potential • Only difference is Gohun is a Meta Water DPS similar to Harribel just behind Shadow Monarch • How to Get: Wish Dragon Mission |
A-Tier Anime TD Units

• Same as Itachi, a weaker Nature damage unit but works great for beginners that are starting out |
 Quiorra (Hole) |
• A mix of sustained and burst damage for Nature that’s better than Hae but nothing special • How to Get: Evolve Epic Quiorra (Do the Ulquiorra Mission for the Spear material) |
 Dracula |
• One of the lower-end Fire units but still good • Can out damage Itachi and Naruto Mythic • How to Get: Mythic on Gift Boxes |
 Greybeard |
• While Greybeard’s damage is lacking he’s a great support unit to have for Infinite • Plus he’s really easy to get via daily rewards • How to Get: Day 7 daily reward |
 Baruto (KCM) |
• One of the weaker Fire damage units but still great for beginners • How to Get: Sand Village Legend Stage Act 3 |
 Zengoku |
• Similar to Alucard/Dracula in terms of viability for your Fire damage needs • Not the worst Fire damage unit • How to Get: Reach Floor 100 on Infinite Tower |
 Cakashi |
• Actually a pretty great support unit and one of the most useful Legendaries in the game |
B-Tier Anime TD Units
